  Wayne Wadley – President, CEO and Director   `

Wayne Wadley has been a businessman and entrepreneur for over 25 years. Mr. Wadley has been involved in a number of businesses and understands the financial needs and challenges faced by business. He is the founding Chief Executive Officer and Director of the TSX listed GEOCAN Energy Inc. Mr. Wadley is also owner of the founding a number of other private enterprises. His area of expertise has been mainly in developing and growing successful organizations within the oil production and rental industries.

   
Ken Stephens VP Finance and CFO

Mr. Stephens received his Chartered Accountant designation in 1977. Mr. Stephens has over twelve years of experience working with the rental industry. He was involved in the initial purchase transaction of 4-Way Equipment Rentals in 1998 and in the IPO in 2005. In the past, he was a assurance partner in a Calgary public accounting firm providing consulting and assurance services to small and medium sized businesses, both private and public.

   
David W. Maplethorpe - VP Waste Division

David is the Chief Executive officer and general manager of MCL Waste Systems and has thirty seven years of waste industry related experiences. Employing fifty five associates, MCL works with six waste authorities, commissions and their member municipalities advising, developing, operating and managing waste material handling and diversion programs. MCL, and David, have a commitment and focus to work with municipal partners as well as commercial / industrial clientele to handle waste with a focus on environmental and sustainable out comings. Under David’s leadership MCL has evolved into an integrated organization that provides collection of waste / recyclables, facility management, diversion programs and client services to its authorities, commissions and their member municipalities.

 
Marc Mandin - VP Equipment Rentals

Marc started in the rental business in January of 1988 as Branch Manager with Rite Equipment Rentals looking after rentals to commercial, industrial and oilfield construction projects in the Bonnyville area.

In early 1992 Mr. Mandin was moved to Edmonton as operations manger for both Rite Equipment and Western Shutdown Services. Western Shutdown provided equipment rentals and tool crib services to lumber mills and oil refineries throughout the prairie provinces. When Western Shutdown was purchased by Certified Mr. Mandin ended up in Whitecourt with Fasco Rentals looking after the industrial rentals in that region for Fasco.

In January 1998 Marc joined the 4-Way team as Operations Manager and has helped grow the business with the rest of the 4-Way management team.

 
Skip Kerr - VP Business and Corporate Development

David (Skip) Kerr is the Vice President of Business and Corporate Development of CERF Incorporated. Mr. Kerr brings more than thirty-five years of executive and senior management experience in the waste management & recycling, environmental and landfill sectors. Most recently prior to joining CERF, Mr. Kerr had served as director and principle in two private waste sector consulting firms that specialize in the development and implementation of management systems and industry growth for small private waste sector firms and municipal sector clientele.   

Mr. Kerr’s environmental and waste sector executive experience includes Sr. Vice President - WasteCo Environmental Services Inc., Vice President – Alberta - Waste Services Inc (WSI). Divisional Vice President – Sales Browning Ferris Industries (BFI). Mr. Kerr has also had numerous sr. management positions including Western Canada Landfill Sales Manager - Waste Management of Canada. Director Operations Laidlaw Waste Systems – Lakeland. District Manager Recycling BFI Edmonton and District Manager – BFI Medicine Hat. 

Mr. Kerr attended the University of Alberta studying for his B.ED degree and is active within the Alberta waste sector serving on numerous boards and advisory committees including board positions with the Environmental Services Association of Alberta (ESAA) and most recently completing a six year term sitting on the Board of Directors Alberta Recycling Management Authority (ARMA).

Matthew Horvath - GM Smart-Way Disposal

Matthew Horvath has been involved in business as an entrepreneur for the last 15 years. He started working, at an early age, for his family business operated a successful manufacturing business. Matt learned from the ground up on to how to design, patent and manufacture products. Grown a world wide distributor origination thru internet marketing, in the mining and marine industry. To operating and manage the family companies, to eventually starting his own waste and manufacturing companies. CERF acquired Matt’s company in 2009 and rebranded it into Smart-Way Disposal and Recycling. Matt is known for marketing savvy ideas and system process implementation to improve overall operational efficiency. Matt remains the General Manager of Smart-Way Disposal and Recycling Ltd. and is responsible for all aspects of both Calgary and Edmonton operations.

Lisa Branter - Group  Financial Controller

Lisa Branter received her Chartered Accountant designation in 2000. Ms. Branter has over 12 years experience working in both public accounting firms and private industry. Her career started at a small software company in Calgary where she worked for 8 years. Looking for deeper cross industry experience, she then moved into public accounting at Davis, Daignault and Schick working with a number of industries and management teams. She joined CERF Incorporated as Group Financial Controller in 2011 and her team is responsible for budgeting, forecasting, financial consolidation and analysis for all business units.

Shelley Henschel - Group Marketing Manager

Shelley Henschel has been in the marketing industry for over 25 years. Ms. Henschel received her Bachelor degree in 1992 from the University of Alberta. She began her career working for the Alberta Government promoting the province to the local, national and international markets. From there, she moved into the private sector working for an organizational learning and business consultant working with teams to manage change. Ms. Henschel’s last 14 years have been working in the equipment rental industry for 4-Way Equipment Rentals and recently promoted to CERF Incorporated as Group Marketing Manager. In these roles, her main responsibilities as part of a senior management team including human resources, operations, sales, policies and marketing.
